To the Reader:
Friend Orange is a truly independent magazine published by ECU Peace and Justice, a student led group that is taking a stand against illegal invasions, abuse of power, and social and economic injustice.
The focus of ECU Peace and Justice, and this magazine, is education. If people know more, and have a better understanding of the world around them, then they can make better decisions in governing their lives, communities, and nation. Our intent is to persist in making a wide range of opinion known on the East Carolina University campus. We hope that this will stimulate debate on important issues, and lead to the discovery of real solutions to our persisting political and social problems.
This is your magazine as much as ours - we encourage everyone’s participation. Please make suggestions and contribute in whatever way you can.
